# Add or remove margin

Steps:

1. Tap your open position.
2. Tap the menu in the bottom-left corner.
3. Tap Adjust Margin.
4. Enter the amount of USDC you want to add / remove.
5. Confirm. 

Your liquidation price will update in real time.

Adding margin lowers your effective leverage and moves your liquidation price further away.
