# Claim your gains

When a market resolves, winning shares redeem for $1 each. Losing shares expire at $0.

Steps:

1. Wait for the market to resolve (date and source are shown on every market page).
2. Click on the banner showing your gains
3. Tap the claim button
4. Your winnings land in your Predict balance in USDC.

Resolution follows the rules written on each market page, verified by Polymarket's resolution process - [UMA](https://uma.xyz/) oracle. 

If an outcome is disputed, settlement can take a bit longer. Always read the resolution criteria before entering: the fine print IS the trade.
