# Place a limit order

A limit order lets you choose the price you want to enter at, instead of taking the current market price. Your order will only be executed if the market reaches your specified price.

Steps:

1. Choose a market and tap Yes or No.
2. Select Limit as the order type.
3. Enter your target price per share.
4. Set the number of shares.
5. Confirm.

Your order stays as an open order in the orders tab until filled.

{% hint style="info" %}
A limit order is not guaranteed to fill. If the price never reaches your level, it stays open until you cancel it - free of charge, margin released instantly.
{% endhint %}
