# Read your position

Everything on your position card, explained:

* Value: shares × current price, what you'd get if you sold now.
* Shares: how many $1-payout tickets you hold.
* Side: Yes or No, the outcome you own.
* Avg price: your average cost per share.
* Unrealized PnL: current value minus what you paid.
* Current price: what your shares trade at right now.
* Payout: your total payout if the market resolves your way.
* Rules: You can rewatch the rules by simply going back to your position scoll the screen and then unroll to see it.

A position deep in the green before resolution is a choice, not a certainty. Selling at $0.95 locks 95% of the payout with zero event risk. 

Plenty of "sure things" have died at the finish line.
