# Limit buy/sell

Whether the market is open or closed, you can set up limit orders. 

There are two types of limit orders when the market is closed:

1.  One that executes as soon as the market opens, regardless of the price.
2. One that executes only when the market opens and the target price is reached.

Here’s a demo of us setting up a limit order on $HOOD shares:
